Certaldo

Certaldo

Description

The town of Certaldo is a real urban jewel that has preserved over time the structure of the medieval town, with its alleys, towers and walls made of brick that give the characteristic reddish color. Certaldo is the birthplace of Giovanni Boccaccio, poet author of the "Decameron". The house attributed to Boccaccio is now home to a rich library, which collects the works of the poet and translations of the Decameron in all languages
