Lucca

Description

Lucca is one of the most beautiful and beloved art cities in Tuscany. The city is located in the plain at the foot of the Apuan Alps and is less than half an hour from the coast of Versilia.

Most of the tourist attractions of Lucca retain the signs left by its ancient history: for example the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, the church of San Giovanni and Reparata but also the various towers and villas built between the twelfth and sixteenth centuries.
The walls surrounding the city have been exceptionally preserved and have become an important pedestrian area perfect for long and pleasant walks. Among the many other things to see in Lucca there are the Piazza di San Michele with its beautiful Church of San Michele in Foro, the Basilica of San Frediano as well as the Clock Tower and the Tower of Guinigi, to name just a few.

Close to the city of Lucca, always in its province, do not miss the Versilia and its beaches, Barga and the beautiful Garfagnana and the Apuan Alps.
